Finnish Wave Night on Facebook

I Hugged Your Mom in HelsinkiNordic by Nature, Nothingbuthopeandpassion and Ponydanceclyde are presenting two very amazing and internationally upcoming Finnish bands with Burning Hearts and Big Wave Riders.

Vice Magazine praised the hell out of Burning Hearts’ new album Extinctions. They have been the darlings in Finland for quite some time now, playing headliner shows regularly. Real Popmusic alarm!

Big Wave Riders’s new album Life Less Ordinary entered straight No.2 of the Finnish download charts. Their sound might remind you of other sexy Finnish Indie/Surf bands like French Films or Satellite Stories. Big Wave Riders are releasing on the lovely label family Soliti who takes care of other notable bands like Cats on Fire, Black Twig, Delay Trees, The New Tigers.

Plus we are having a competition here on i Hugged Your Mom in Helsinki where you’ll have a chance to win a cool Jopo bike. The only thing you have to do is to take a photo of the crappiest bike you can find with you in the picture. It can be your own bike or a bike you see on the streets. Then send the picture to jopo@nbnberlin.de and our Facebook Fans can like their favorite picture on our Nordic by Nature Facebook. The photo with the most likes wins the Jopo bike.

Our music trip Nr 1 to Finland  already took place at Prince Charles the other day. We had a blast getting down with you guys on the dancefloor! Story will be repeated on a regular basis for those who missed it this time. Watch out. The Fins are invading the stage…

Black TwigBendagram and Phantom had the pleasure to be the pioneers of what will be called the Finnish Wave Night Gang. They truly rocked the house. This is to be continued…
